Hello, I’m Vani Sharma and I’m a student of UI UX design diploma course at ADMEC. I feel privileged to share my Photoshop classes experience with you all. In this blog, I’ll talk about my training in Photoshop under the mentorship of Anuradha ma’am.
My mentor Anuradha ma’am taught me very well and explained all the topics practically. She guided me in my project with many corrections, details, alignment and design balance. I really want to express my gratitude towards her.
How did I select my 12 Months Diploma in UI UX?
I’ve selected this course because I have a passion towards learning about user experiences and designing solutions for them. Thanks to Sonia ma’am, she guided me to enroll in UI UX Design Master Plus course which is a combo of various skills from user interface designing, user research, data collection, graphic designing, and motion graphics.
With this course, I’m developing strong skills like visual grammar, commercial art, photo editing, graphic designing, user experience & digital creativity.
Thanks to commercial art sessions, I could improve my creativity, attention to details & visual skills. I attend them twice a week under the mentorship of Promila ma’am.
The best part of this course is the series of special sessions that come twice a month. At recent, I’ve attended Design Thinking Workshop by Ravi sir and it was really an amazing experience for me. I learned about various design thinking techniques and innovative problem-solving methods in these special sessions. Apart from this, I also witnessed the special Star of Month award ceremony in which Tauseef Bhaiya became the SOM of Feb 2026. With this moment, I also got the zeal to hold SOM trophy in my hands and started working hard for it.
The special part of my course journey was to come in the nominations of March 2026. Thank you Anuradha ma’am for nominating me for my Photoshop project on Eleganca.
My Photoshop Class Experience
I was very nervous in my first class as everything was very new to me. So many tools, panels, shortcut keys, settings, etc. But no doubt it was interesting too. I started with giving more and more time to practice. And found Photoshop like my new friend. It became my interest with time and I started enjoying my sessions. I remember, how eagerly I used to wait for next session. My sessions were on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and commercial art classes were on Tuesday and Saturday. These 5 days of week are my favorite as I gain new skills and knowledge daily.
How Photoshop Training Helped Me Grow as Designer
Photoshop gave me freedom to freely experiments with the photos and designs using its versatile tools and options. I created different types of designs from patterns, wallpapers, image compositing, manipulation, web ads, posters, etc.
My mentor Anuradha Mam helped me to think out of the box and design various layouts without fear of making mistakes. She gave me confidence in handling complex tools and making my skills sharpen. This why I could learn software quickly.
Photoshop trained me to noticed every single and smallest thing like alignment, balance and proportion. It helped me in developing a sense of creative creation. I learned managing different images together to create a balanced collage. It also helped me in understanding color knowledge through its color adjustment options and color grading features.
Another important thing that I learned while working on Photoshop was patience. It taught me to handle pressure and have patience at the same time. I realized it while working on my 2 weeks long project. There was a deadline and I was working on it day and night. I finally understood how it looks like to be a designer. I explored all important stages of designing during my project.
I’ve learned a lot from editing photos, clipping backgrounds, cropping images, adjustments etc. Now I know how I think and create to solve problems through designs. Indeed, creativity and technology together can make miracle.
Now when my Photoshop classes are completed successfully, I feel confident just like an actual designer who solve user problem with his designs.
There is a lot of change in myself now. My way of looking at things around has completed changed. I take a designer approach with curiosity and confidence and a sense of innovative ideas. Thank you Photoshop for changing me.
Before learning Photoshop, I used to see photographs just like a captured moment and a design like graphics. But now after learning Adobe Photoshop, I look at the photos from a photographers perspective that has lighting, shadows, compositions, balancing, etc.
My Favorite tool in Adobe Photoshop
In the Adobe Photoshop, my favorite tool is Pen Tool.
I still remember, before using this tool, everybody told me that it is one of the difficult tools to use in any designing applications. So, I was very nervous at that moment. But thanks to simple explanation of my mentor Anuradha ma’am. I started using it like a normal tool of the application.
Pen tool is really hard when it comes to balancing its anchor points and using short keys like ALT and CTRL for changing the paths. But with practice, it became piece of cake for me. And see, now it is my favorite tool and I recommend everyone to love it as it is the only option that lets you design logos and illustration.
Pen tool draws path withs straight lines and curves using anchor points. Unlike brushes it does not draw freehand but it creates clean and sharp edges which are perfect for professional work.
This tool comes with various other tools like:
- Curvature Pen tool
- Freeform Pen tool
- Add Anchor Point tool
- Delete anchor points tool.
- Convert Point tool
Pen tool helped a lot in my project especially for designing logos.
So, I recommend everyone to learn Pen tool and practice it daily. It is really an amazing skill and can take you to heights.
Photoshop has Got Many Powers for Designers
Yes, indeed Photoshop has got many powers for designers and I experienced it myself during my training at ADMEC Multimedia Institute. From magical filters to astonishing AI options, there are a lot to explore in it. I really love it and I’m sure that all new learners will love it too.
Those who want to master it, must join specialized Photoshop training in Delhi or via online mode from ADMEC Multimedia Institute.
