Diwali celebration is incomplete without Rangolis thus we have a tradition to organize Rangoli Design Competition every year at the campus. This event brings spirit of art and blooms the creativity among all of our students.
We organized this event on Saturday, 18 October 2025, at ADMEC Multimedia Institute and the aura was just awesome. The soothing fragrance of scented diyas, light music, everyone dressed in ethnic outfits, and mix of colors and flowers created a complete festive atmosphere at the campus.
But this day didn’t come all of the sudden. We had done lots of preparation for it.
All started with teams’ creation. Our seniors decided upon the no. of teams and added students of different types of courses in each team. Total 4 teams were there: Team A, Team B, Team C and Team D. Around 40 students were there in each team with one mentor and team leader.
Below is the list of teams with their respected mentors and team leaders.

Competition was started at 10am and there wasn’t any particular theme to make rangolis on. It means, all teams were free to select their favorite topics but they were bound with limited time of 3 hours only.
Team A made a beautiful rangoli that presented a swan with a Sitara. Their concept was to present Goddess Saraswati symbolically with her musical instrument. They used beautiful color contrast, added flowers and diya to bright up their rangoli. Their efforts and their teamwork made their rangoli design one of the most graceful designs at the event, which caught the eyes of all.
Team B selected a festive theme rangoli design, which presented Diwali decoration and Goddess Laxmi kalash. They used real Kalash with coins coming out of it. Their rangoli was giving the complete vibes of Diwali. Even having so many elements, their design wasn’t looking disbalanced. It was perfectly balanced with right set of colors that beautifully complement each other.
Team C presented a very modern theme through their rangoli design. Their theme was based on Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) which is a burning topic of these days.
They made a rangoli design showing a robot making digital rangoli on a graphic tab. The design was also reflecting today’s modern digital world tools like Photoshop and Illustrator. Plus, they added flowers and diyas to decorate the surrounding perfectly. Team C brought the idea of presenting tradition through innovation.
Team D created a rangoli of Goddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesh, who are worshipped for success, intelligence, and wealth. Their rangoli was looking traditional, and they used vibrant colors to make the rangoli standout out with festive vibe all around.
Our team of mentors examined the designs made by each team. They asked various questions to each team on the theme, colors, and elements used for Rangoli.
After a thorough evaluation, we came on the decision to select Team B as the winning team of the Rangoli Design competition 2025. Their theme, composition and overall presentation was better than the other three teams.
Congratulations Team D on becoming winners of one of our Rangoli Design Competitions.
All participants got an appreciation certificate, Diwali gifts and festive wishes at the successful ending of the event. The competition was concluded with happy faces.
The whole competition was a chance for our students to learn team work and coordination. It was especially a new experience for the students who became team leader as they guided the other members, managed to bring the entire team on time at the campus and get the rangoli design completed on time. These learnings are helpful for all students in their work life later on.
