XML (extensible markup language) technology with the trend of modernization, the tools and techniques for communication have really improved. Earlier there were only very few means of communication as well as education but with the trend of growth in the economy the technology has also improved a lot. The introduction to internet has proved really as a boon to the science and growth. Now the trend of cyber space is every where. People or audiences form almost every age group is in regular touch with it. Everybody has a different mean and usage for internet. Youngster mostly surf it for entertainment and education purposes.
We all are very frequent users of internet but never thought of that how internet works and what are website are made up of, and how come? A web site is nothing but a bunch of Web Pages. These web pages are connected to each other trough tags. This helps to join pages so that one page leads to the other one. And it is made up of in a special language called XML (Extensible markup language). Well talking about the XML then it can be called as a set of rules for encoding documents electronically. It is also defined that XML 1.0 is specification produced by the W3C and several other related specifications and all of them are all fee-free open standards.
It ensures the goals emphasize simplicity, generality and usability over the net. It is in the textual data format, and in the strong support via Unicode for all the languages of the world. A designer can implement his/her art of creativity using this XML by designing focuses on the documents, and more over it is widely used for the representation of arbitrary data structures, for example just like in web services. There are a number of different varieties of programming interface which many software developers may use to access the XML data, and several schema systems designed to aid in the definition of XML-based languages.
As of 2009, hundreds of XML-based languages have been developed including RSS, Atom, SOAP, and XHTML. XML-based formats have become the default for most office-productivity tools, including Microsoft Office (Office Open XML), OpenOffice.org (Open Document), and Apple's work. The web is growing very rapidly and its features too. Every day a new invention is taking place.
And it’s something new to discuss as the technology is changing and improving day by day. The XML is the language that helps the web makers to establish the cyber world more and of course it’s a good symbol of growth and progress. |
