Postpaid
- The customer first uses the service
- At the end of the billing period the subscriber pays for the service
- E.g. Credit cards, Electricity bill
Benefits of Postpaid
- Use first pay later concept, this gives you a duration of approximately 45 to 60 days to pay your bills (depending on operator)
- Rate per minute is less as compared to prepaid
- Use of a wide spectrum of Call management services as compared to prepaid (Call conference, Voice mail etc)
Documents required for Postpaid connection
The customer needs to fill the following documents when subscribing to a Postpaid connection?
- Customer fills in the Application or Enrollment form
- Submits the POI & POA documents
- Submits a latest photograph
- Copy of Pan Card or Form 60

Prepaid
- The customer first pays for the service
- After the payment is received the subscriber can use the services of the operator
- E.g. Coin box MTNL phones or PCO
Benefits of Prepaid
- Use according to convenience , you can extend validity or the top up based on your specific requirement
- STD and ISD services are available by default on a prepaid connection
- Cheaper cost of ownership, no need to pay a fixed rental per month.
